MARRIAGE PORTRAIT 2023

FOR ED

SYMBOLISM

TOP:

  • Hot air balloon, giclee print my husband Ed got me for Christmas 2021, just a few months after I lost my daughter.  It  represents her powerful  presence in our lives years ago when we dated and now that we are back together again and married.
  • Our cowboy hats
  • Design on one of Kimberley’s favorite shirts that I now treasure and wear. It weaves through the entire painting, honoring and acknowledging her presence as an integral part of our lives today and forever. I love you, Kim.

Tibetan Charms:

  • Butterfly
  • Heart with infinity symbol
  • Nut we found and kick around on our walks
  • Photograph of the wood sculpture I gave Ed when we were together 25 years ago

BOTTOM:

  • Bighorn sheep...see the Memorial Paintings for an explanation of its importance to me.
  • Our dogs Jake and Milo
  • Wedding bands
  • Marriage certificate
  • Cow goddess
